Merry Christmas and Wishes for a Happy New Year!
It has been another busy year for us here in northern Virginia. Soccer, Cub Scouts, and music lessons are keeping mom’s taxi service up and running. I tried to be impressed with myself now that I’m a political faction (the soccer mom) except there wasn’t much time for it even with all of Nanny’s help.
Jon still keeps us guessing about whether he will have time for dinner before or after tonight’s meeting. He spent three weeks of vacation at scout camp this summer. One week was with Billy and his friends in Alexandria. The second week was with Jim at Goshen where Jim managed to break his arm and give Jon another great story to tell. The third week, we all went to New Mexico. Except for the part where Allison wanted to get out of the plane and play in the snow (clouds) it was a great trip. It was lots of fun to discover parts of the country we had never seen before and we got to meet other scouters from all over the U.S. as well.
Allison is about to turn three. She is excited about every little thing this holiday season. She loves preschool and can’t understand why she doesn’t go every day. She continually keeps us laughing with her excitement and fresh perspectives. She still loves to be with her brothers and they are still being very tolerant of her.
Hope your year has been a bright one. My New Year’s resolution is to get more correspondence out. Have fun in 1997!!
Love Maria, Jon, Jim, Billy, Allison and Nanny
